When Choosing a Pet Friendly Home

Consider Lead Safety When Remodeling Your Home

There are many things that you think if you decide to renovate your home: If we renovate the first bathroom or kitchen? Should we rebuild the next room or an entire house? How do we choose the right color? Marble, granite, Corian or counter! But it occurs to you to check the presence of lead in your home, and that the walls and floors may require disturbing someone qualified to handle the task?

Effective 22 April 2010, prior to 1979 for residential buildings (1978 and older), United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires renovators to the occupant-owner of the building to unhealthy levels of lead in paints and coatings that are designed to inform mentioned. If (a) The Inner Works 6 feet square or more of paint or coating the surface in every room, or (b) External interrupt work 20 feet square or more of paint or coating surface, unhealthy amount of lead in paint or varnish may exist. By law, the innovators enter the EPA brochure “Lead Guidelines SAFE certified to rehabilitate the Right”, if the above parameters are met or exceeded. (more…)
